What are 304 stainless steel tubes/pipes?

 

304 stainless steel pipe/tube is a grade of stainless steel produced in accordance with ASTM standards. 304 contains 18-20% chromium and 8-10% nickel. German Executive Standard: DIN2462.

What is the difference between SUS304 and ASTM 304?

 
SUS304 VS ASTM 304

A, refers to different

1, SUS304: a common material in stainless steel, the density of 7.93 g/cm3, the industry is also called 18/8 stainless steel.
2, ASTM304: American Standard 304, which has sufficient resistance to intergranular corrosion and has excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing acid (HNO3).

B, the characteristics are different

1, SUS304: good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low-temperature strength, and mechanical properties; stamping, bending, and another hot workability, no heat treatment hardening phenomenon (use temperature -196 ℃ ~ 800 ℃).

 

2, ASTEM304: good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low-temperature strength, and mechanical properties, stamping, bending and another hot workability is good, no heat treatment hardening phenomenon, non-magnetic.

 

 

304 stainless steel is generally stainless steel material with stronger rust resistance than the 200 series stainless steel material. It is also better in terms of high-temperature resistance, which can be as high as 1000-1200 degrees.

 

304 stainless steel has excellent stainless corrosion resistance and good resistance to intergranular corrosion.
