304 Stainless Steel Tubes/pipes Manufacturers&suppliers

What are 304 stainless steel tubes/pipes?

304 stainless steel pipe/tube is a grade of stainless steel produced in accordance with ASTM standards. 304 contains 18-20% chromium and 8-10% nickel. German Executive Standard: DIN2462.

American ASTM production standard 304 stainless steel pipe/tube is stainless heat-resistant steel.

304 stainless steel pipe/tube as stainless heat-resistant steel used most widely, food equipment, general chemical equipment, atomic energy industry equipment.

304 stainless steel pipe/tube is a generally stainless steel pipe/tube, which is widely used to make equipment and machine parts requiring good overall performance (corrosion resistance and formability).

304 stainless steel pipe/tube is the most widely used stainless steel, heat-resistant steel. It is used for food production equipment, general chemical equipment, nuclear energy, etc.

What is the difference between SUS304 and ASTM 304?

SUS304 VS ASTM 304

A, refers to different

1, SUS304: a common material in stainless steel, the density of 7.93 g/cm3, the industry is also called 18/8 stainless steel.
2, ASTM304: American Standard 304, which has sufficient resistance to intergranular corrosion and has excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing acid (HNO3).

B, the characteristics are different

1, SUS304: good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low-temperature strength, and mechanical properties; stamping, bending, and another hot workability, no heat treatment hardening phenomenon (use temperature -196 ℃ ~ 800 ℃).

2, ASTEM304: good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low-temperature strength, and mechanical properties, stamping, bending and another hot workability is good, no heat treatment hardening phenomenon, non-magnetic.

304 stainless steel is generally stainless steel material with stronger rust resistance than the 200 series stainless steel material. It is also better in terms of high-temperature resistance, which can be as high as 1000-1200 degrees.

304 stainless steel has excellent stainless corrosion resistance and good resistance to intergranular corrosion.

304 stainless steel material concentration ≤ 65% of the boiling temperature below the nitric acid, has a very strong resistance to corrosion. To alkali solutions and most organic and inorganic acids also have good corrosion resistance.

In the air or chemically corrosive media to resist corrosion of high-alloy steel, stainless steel is a beautiful surface and good corrosion resistance, without the need for surface treatment such as color plating, and play the inherent surface properties of stainless steel, used in many aspects of a kind of steel, usually called stainless steel. The representative performance of 13 chromium steel, 18-8 chromium-nickel steel, and other high-alloy steel.

From the metallographic point of view, because stainless steel contains chromium and the surface of the formation of a very thin chromium film, this film separates the invasion of oxygen with the steel to play the role of corrosion resistance. In order to maintain the inherent corrosion resistance of stainless steel, steel must contain more than 12% of chromium.
